  Ali Krieger, renowned for her soccer career with the U.S. women's national team and in the NWSL, was invited to kick off a League One Volleyball (LOVB) Championship match. In a unique crossover moment, Krieger performed a kick-serve with a volleyball to officially start the game.

  Founded in October 2021, League One Volleyball (LOVB) is a women's professional indoor volleyball league is based in the United States.

  The first season began in January 2025 and concluded with LOVB Austin emerging as the champions. In the finals, LOVB Austin swept LOVB Omaha in three sets with scores of 25-19, 25-22, and 25-23.
